Its Vikram’s Tamil film ‘Kandasamy’ that is getting dubbed into Telugu as ‘Mallanna’. Vikram will be playing 5 different roles in the film as per the theme. Make up artistes from Hollywood are working on Vikram for this film. It is hard to make out Vikram in some roles, say the makers of that film. The shooting will be completed in 3 months as per the talk but Dasavataram may take further time to complete shooting , PP, RR and release as per the grapevine. Apart from this Bollywood actor Kay Kay Menon is acting in 14 roles in a Hindi film. So, it appears to be a trend to play multiple roles in single film.

Kandaswamy was originally was to be shot in Kenya, but due to the on going political problems in Kenya, the location was changed to Mexico. But new location landed Susi for it has led him to direct a Indo-Mexican film in Spanish. Mexico is more famous for Bull fights and now Susi has added this to the script since it demands for. Now Vikram in undergoing training for the bull fight.

Vikram's bull fight will be one of the highlights of the movie. It is not only Bull fight, but Vikram will also be seen fighting with a wild elephant and taming it. These are the two new developments in Kandaswamy. The shooting is going on is a brisk face. 3 Crore Rupees for Rajanikanth's Make-up in Robo

The film Robot is a big budget movie and actor Rajnikanth will be paying Rs. 3 crores to his makeup artists for the film. The director of the film, Shankar has contacted Hollywood make up artist Micheal R Johnes to do the make up for the film. Earlier Michael did the makeup for film Indian.

After completing Nayak: The Real Hero in 2001, Shankar announced a project with Kamal Haasan and Preity Zinta titled Robo, to be produced by the now-defunct production company Media Dreams. Despite, announcing the project, due to a lack of backing the project was cancelled and Shankar began work on Boys. In 2005, Shankar made another project, Anniyan, this was mistaken to be the renamed title for Robot.

After a stupendous response from his previous project, Sivaji: The Boss, there were speculations regarding Shankar’s next film. However Shankar stated that he was going to be involved with his production house, S Pictures for 3 months. Several websites claimed that he was set to take his maiden Telugu language film with Chiranjeevi, while others claimed that it was set to be with Mahesh Babu. Ajith Kumar was also considered for the film and several sources reported this news as confirmed but Kumar claimed that he wasn’t yet approached.

On July 27th 2007, Shahrukh Khan was signed on to be the male lead of Robot and also the producer of the film. However, in October 2007, Shah Rukh Khan and Shankar officially called off the project. Khan commented that the script was “half-baked” and “dull” in comparison to his other films at the time. Shankar commented that Rajnikanth had commented on Shankar being a “trusted” and “excellent” script writer. Thus the two weren’t able to compromise on one another opinions.

After further indications that either Ajith Kumar and Aamir Khan were set to sign up for the film, reports surfaced in early January 2008, that Rajnikanth has been roped in for the project. The movie will be made at a cost of Rs. 120 Crores. Later in January 2008, Ayngaran International and Eros Multimedia agreed to become the producers of Robot with Karunamoorthy, the Chairman of Ayngaran International saying that:

We are very happy to announce that superstar Rajnikanth, Shankar along with A. R. Rahman are coming together again to make Robot, which is going to be made in Tamil and would be dubbed into Hindi, Telugu and English.

The film is unlikely to keep its name, Robot, due to the English title in Tamil Nadu, whose government present tax exemption to films with Tamil titles. Likely titles suggested to proceed Robot as the title, include Iyandiran or Iyandira, both literal translations of Robot to Tamil. The film’s scripting is going on as told by Shankar in two interviews. It was subsequently announced that all those who have been committed for Robot should sign an agreement accepting that they will not commit themselves to any other project for the next two years of its production, with an exemption to the female lead, Aishwarya Rai. The film began on February 15, 2008 in Chennai when portfolio photographer G. Venket Ram did a photo shoot with Rajnikanth.

A Police Officer Dasavatharam is an entirely different movie.It had some defects also.First of all i wish to talk about its merits :this is a different story , Kamalahasan done all 10 characters beautifully…. The make-up s of each characters are very appreciatively created.Each and every movements of all this characters are stylish , especially the movements of American terrorist ,Japanese karate master and American president George W Bush. Graphics ,stunts , background music ,editing, and songs……..all are extra ordinary except one thing .To including 10 characters he try to include some extra unwantable scenes to the film that is the one and only defect.

Twenty Twenty

The much awaited Malayalam movie Twenty:20 by the Malayalam Artists Association (AMMA) has almost finished 85 percent of its shooting. The film, is directed by Joshi.

Except Meera Jasmine ,the movie will have all Four Malayalam superstars, three frontline heroines, 67 top line actors, 17 playback singers, maximum release centers, One film-‘Twenty:Twenty', the biggest multistarrer ever to be made in India.This film expected to change the Malayalam film industry in a different way.
The song written by Gireesh Puthencherry starting with ''Ushasssil'' is set to music by Berny Ignacius is a five minute song will be sung by 17 leading singers of Mollywood including Dr.Yesudas and Jayachandran, which will be also a record in Indian music industry.
It is reported that Mammootty plays an advocate opposite Gopika.Mohanlal plays a businessman.Bhavana plays Dileep's heroine.Meera Jasmine is not appearing in the movie.
This multi-starrer film is supposed to release in 118 theaters, the biggest ever release in Malayalam.

Hindi Remake of Gajani

After completing his children’s film ‘Taare Zameen Pe’, Aamir Khan has begun shooting for the Hindi remake of the Tamil hit Ghajini .

The Hindi remake is called Kajri and is being directed by A R Murugadass, who directed the Tamil original.



The mahurat of ‘Kajri’ was held in Mumbai a few days back. At the mahurat Tamil filmstar Surya (hero of ‘Ghajini’) was present along with Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi who struck the clapper for the opening shot.

Director AR Murugadoss canned the shot while producer Allu Aravind looked on.

‘Kajri’ has south Indian actress Asin playing the lead opposite Aamir. Asin was also the heroine of ‘Ghajini’.

The role of Aamir’s heroine in ‘Kajri’ was previously offered to Ayesha Takia who declined the offer for the reasons better known to herself.

The movie will also have a second female lead who is yet to be finalized.

Prithviraj and Vikram In Maniratnam's new Project

Legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam selects actress Priyamani to play second heroine in his next project. The film, which is to be made simultaneously in Tamil and Hindi, will feature Vikram as hero in Tamil, while Abhishek Bachchan will feature in the Hindi version. Aishwarya Bachchan plays heroine in both the versions.

Prithviraj will be playing the role of villain and Priyamani has been chosen to pair up with him. It may be recalled that in Ayutha Ezhuthu, Mani shows Maddy as a baddy and Meera Jasmine as his wife. Though the roles are in negative shade, Mani's style of character designing won rave reviews from critics.
